Building Better Mental Health
Anyone can suffer from mental or emotional health problems. Until now, despite how common mental health problems are, many of us make no effort to improve our situation. We overlook the emotional messages that tell us something is incorrect and try ignore it out by distracting ourselves or self-medicating with alcohol, drugs, or self-destructive behaviors. We cover up our problems in the hope that others won’t notice. We hope that our situation will eventually improve on its own. There are practices you can adopt to elevate your mood, become stronger and enjoy life. It also requires effort to build and maintain physical and mental health.

Social connection
Face-to-face interaction can boost he mood and even can beat the stress-busting. Reaching out is not a sign of weakness because it also can build new friendships and improve the support network. Make eye contact, exchange a smile, a friendly greeting or small talk are still a great way to interacting face-to-face with people around.
Stay active
When we improve our physical health, we will also experience a greater mental and emotional well-being. Physical activity such as regular exercise releases endorphins that can lift our mood and provides added energy. Regular exercise or other physical activity can have a major influence on mental and emotional health problems, relieve stress, improve memory and help to sleep better.
Managing stress
Join in any favorite activities to make we feel good. Go to a funny movie, take a walk along the beach, listen to relax music, read a good book or talk to a friend as it can increasing the emotional and mental health. Yoga or take a time to self-reflection is an example activity which can put the brakes on stress and bring our mind and body back into a state of balance.
Consume a brain-healthy diet
An unhealthy diet can give negative impacts on brain and mood, disrupt our sleep, lessen our energy, and weaken our immune system. Try to consume a wholesome diet, low in sugar and rich in healthy fats which can give us more energy, improve our sleep and mood and help to feel good. Caffeine, alcohol, sugary snacks or even fried food can affect our mental health if we take them to much.
Get enough sleep
Getting enough sleep is a necessity to get a better mental health. Skipping even a few hours can take a toll on our mood, energy, mental sharpness, and ability to handle stress. A chronic sleep loss can cause havoc on our health and attitude. Our brain needs time to unwind at the end of the day. Therefore, stick to a regular sleep-wake schedule can optimize the quality of our sleep.
